Overlooking the waves of North Bondi, Speedo Café blends beachside ease with fresh, vibrant food and a welcoming local spirit. We may be known as the world’s most Instagrammable café, but it’s the atmosphere, the smiles and the comfort on every plate that make people stay.
Speedo Café has been part of our family for generations. We grew up right here at 126 Ramsgate Ave, watching our parents run their store in this very spot. They taught us what it means to work hard, care deeply and look after people. Those values shaped everything we do today.
When the opportunity came to open Speedo Café in this same location over 40 years ago, we knew exactly what we wanted it to be. A welcoming place where our community could gather, share a meal and feel connected. We have poured our history, heart and family spirit into this café and the community has given it right back.
Every familiar face, every new visitor, every brunch catch up and sandy footed coffee run has helped shape who we are. We feel incredibly lucky to share our food, our coffee and our little piece of North Bondi with the world every single day.

We take pride in offering vegan, gluten friendly and dairy free options that don’t feel like substitutes. Alongside them you’ll find fresh raw bowls, colourful specials and everyday favourites that keep people coming back.
